What a week it has been.
All bowls cancelled until further notice. Consequently this means tournaments are cancelled as well. This makes it a bit difficult for everyone who have raffle tickets for the classic pairs to get their tickets (and money) back to Ray Emerson or Ruth Burnett. The raffle is still going ahead, so please get your tickets back as soon as possible.
The trade day was cancelled at Barooga this past week and are cancelled for the remainder of the season, another blow to bowlers. The only bowling allowed now is roll ups and to complete the running of the men's 100-up and the women's 21-up.
Results of the last Share the Wealth played were: section A - Vic Kendall and Chris Thomas with +15. Second were Ian Smethurst and Len Magee with 12 and third were Willy Nelson and Peter Woods with 10. In section B, the winners were John Sullivan and Peter Russell with 19, second were Geoff Mitchell and Ed Coulstock with 13 and third were Ruth Burnett and Karen Bruce with 9.
As no bowls will be played from now on this will be the last weekly news until further notice, however any news that comes to hand will be advised as and when it arises
Happy Easter, but surely not Merry Christmas yet.
