THE racing season is well under way at the Echuca Moama Cycling Club's criterium course.
Finished in March this year at the Moama Velodrome, it places EMCC in the rare position of being one of few clubs to have their own course, with all EMCC members are given a chance to enjoy and utilise the facilities.
Friday night saw 38 riders took to the course in very hot and windy conditions, including 12 new riders who braved the unfavourable heat and wind, as well as eight riders who took part in a "come and try" session before hand.
A grade (13 riders, 40 mins and three laps): 1st: Chase Costello, 2nd: Byron Woods, 3rd: Neville Laffy.
B grade (seven riders, 35 mins and three laps): 1st: Bruce Morrison, 2nd: Neil Thomson, 3rd: Brett Sands.
C grade (eight riders, 25 mins and three laps): 1st: Brayden Walsh, 2nd: Darren McKemmish, 3rd: Steve Robson, D grade (10 riders, 20 mins and three laps): 1st: Levi Hone, 2nd: Liam Clohosey, 3rd: Greg Harvey.
Racing will continue for the season with events on November 15, November 29 and December 13, before a break is taken for Christmas.
Racing will then resume on January 17.
