Pitching in for community show

By David Rak

Puckapunyal soldiers will assist the Seymour Agricultural and Pastoral Society to put on this year’s Seymour Show at Kings Park.

The soldiers volunteer their services and will assist in the main arena with the horse events.

Six soldiers assisted the society last year for its 160th anniversary and continued a rich history of the Puckapunyal Army Base supporting community events in Seymour.

Society president Jason Ronald said he was pleased to see the ongoing support from the Australian Army.

“The Army was involved with the 170th anniversary celebrations of Seymour last year and their support for the community in which they operate is always welcome,” he said.

The show is set to take over Kings Park and is on from 4pm to 9pm on October 4 and from 9am to 4pm on October 5.

Schedules are available at businesses in Seymour and district and at seymouragshow.org.au
