The winners of the five Yarrawonga/Mulwala hosted senior legends events: 2016, Lucien Tinkler (Melbourne), 2017 and 2019 Peter Senior (Queensland), 2018 Martin Pettigrew (New Zealand) and Mike Harwood 2019 (Melbourne) will be back. Our two golf clubs shared the Senior Victorian Open from 2016 to 2018 and from 2019, the Senior Victorian Open Championship has continued to be played at Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort while the Black Bull Golf Club at Silverwoods hosts the Shepparton BMW PGA Seniors Championship.

For a fifth consecutive year, the best senior professional golfers in Australia will tee off locally in two championships, in late January 2020, with free admission for golf fans.
The Shepparton BMW PGA Seniors Championship will be played at Black Bull Golf Course Tuesday and Wednesday, January 28 and 29.
On Thursday and Friday, January 30 and 31, the Senior Victorian Open Championship will be played on the Lake and Murray Courses at Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort.
“All the stars will be back. It’s a star-studded line-up for the back-to-back state championships,” Black Bull tournament director James McCully told the Yarrawonga Chronicle.
“Peter Lonard, Peter Senior, Peter Fowler and Peter O’Malley will all be back, as well as so many other stars like previous winners Lucien Tinkler and Martin Pettigrew.”
“We’re hoping to have, for the first time, Michael Long.” If that eventuates, at least two star New Zealanders will be in action – the other of course being Martin Pettigrew.
Long, 51, won the New Zealand Open in 1996 and would be another star attraction if he signs up.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort tournament director Evan Droop described the two events for Yarrawonga and Mulwala as “another fabulous week of golf where all the stars will play”.
“These professionals love coming back to play on our courses and enjoy all our facilities,” he said.
“As soon as they’re back home, many tell us how good a week it was and that they are looking forward to returning.“
