New border region permit update

By Yarrawonga Chronicle

Member for Albury Justin Clancy and the Cross Border Commissioner James McTavish have provided some clarification around the new border changes.

From midnight tonight a new 'Critical services – border region' permit will be available for the newly designated "border region".

The new border region does not replace the border zone. The border region is only relevant for critical service permits.

The new border region includes postcodes of Victorian and NSW towns such as Tungamah, Rennie and Savernake.

The new changes will take effect from 4pm this Monday, August 10.

The NSW government released the third edition of restrictions related to the border closure last night with the revised public health order signed off by health minister Brad Hazzard.
